“She has done what she could.” “This poor widow has put in more than all of them.”—“Whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ will by no means lose his reward.”—If the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.Let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.—If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?—Whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
