Tunes

To help with singing these songs, we have provided a list of tunes commonly sung among us.

Explanatory Note

Superscribed numbers (e.g. 1, 3, etc.) indicate the psalm’s meter. The superscribed letter lets you know that it is the first (a) or second (b) of two translations of the psalm (each having a different meter, of course).

Unmarked tunes are set to CM (8.6.8.6.). Others are listed below. CM songs can all be sung to the tune of popular songs, like Amazing Grace (a.k.a. New Britain) [mp3|midi], O God Our Help in Ages Past (a.k.a. St. Anne) [mp3|midi], America the Beautiful (a.k.a. Materna) [mp3|midi], etc.

  1. 1 · Long Meter: 8.8.8.8.
  2. 2 · Short Meter: 6.6.8.6.
  3. 3 · 10.10.10.10.10.
  4. 4 · Hallelujah Meter: 6.6.6.6.8.8.
  5. 5 · 6.6.6.6.D
