In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

It is now 2,387 years since Daniel had this vision; and the utter desolation of the sanctuary had continued 1,764 years; and no doubt the end of 2,300 years is not far distant.
