Geneva Bible Notes (1560)Psalm 124

1 a He sheweth that God was readie to helpe at nede, & that there was none other waie to be saued, but by his onelie meanes.

1 ! The people of God, escaping a great peril, do acknowledge them selues to be deliuered, not by their owne force, but by the power of God.

4 c He vseth moste propre similitudes to expresse the greate danger that the Church was in, & out of the which God miraculously deliuered them.

4 ! They declare the greatnes of the peril.

7 d For the wicked did not onely furiously rage against the faithful, but craftely imagined to destroy them.
