1 ! A praier of the faithful, which were afflicted ether in Babylon or vnder Antiochus by the wicked worldelings and contemners of God.

2 a He compareth the condicion of the godlie to seruants that are destitute of all helpe, assuring that when all other helps faile, God is euer at hand and like himself.

3 b He declareth that when the faithful are so full, that they can no more endure the oppressions, and scornings of the wicked, there is alwaie helpe aboue, if with hungre desires they call for it.
